An Unexpected Development

Other ship? That came as a big surprise. Of course neither she or her allies had recently had any access to the sensors that would have alerted them to the approach of another vessel.

She now knew that her side was heavily outnumbered on the Enterprise. That made the prospects for regaining control of it poor, unless what had happened to the female crew could somehow be undone.

She wondered if the other ship had been taken over in the same fashion as the Enterprise had been. If that was the case, though, what would be the point of transferring the men from one ship to the other? What was going to happen to them? She supposed that it was something that they had not been killed.

  1. Connor and Rand continued talking.
  2. Fred decided that Spock needed to be told about this unexpected development. But if he and McCoy had been forced to flee the science lab, where would she find them?
  3. Connor's communicator beeped, and then Fred heard the woman at the other end say: "Good news, Captain. We've managed to fix the warp engines!"
