"I don't suppose we've found the LeClerc woman's body yet?"

"No, and that worries me," Connors admitted. "The last we knew, she was heading towards Sickbay. If these rogue male officers found her, they probably scanned her. They may even have discovered our secret."

"It's unfortunate that she - she..."

"We all knew there was an element of risk," Connors said. "I'm frankly surprised that only she and Uhura seemed to have rejected us." Then, to Uhura's shock, Connor casually but savagely backhanded Rand. "So this is no time to indulge in maudlin sentimentality."

"Understood," Rand said, as if it had been nothing more than a pat on the arm. Who - what are these creatures? Uhura wondered.

"Now, let's get back to the bridge," Connors said. "There are important things going on."
