"Ho!" says the stranger. "I come in peace!" As the figure ascended out of the shadows, the group saw it was a young redhead. She wore a loose purple blouse with many black buttons. Her leggings were tight brown leather over white pants. Her calf-high booths were polished leather. "My name is Filial. This isn't me, just a projection. The King has hired me to be a communications beacon between you, Lord Fred, and the castle."
"Password?" demanded Frd."
"Certainly." the woman smiled. Velus huffed. His human form was her age. "Ahem. 'Floating, flying, flickering farmgirls'. Satasfied?"
"Yes." Astra gave Fred a funny look but said nothing.
"Okay, first I have a message from the king."
"Speak."

  1. "He says his wizards have discerned danger behind this door."
  2. "An old ally of the kingdom, Baron Fledeirmaus, lives here. He is the dragon's liason to the troops but is also a spy."
  3. "You're all screwed! The king hopes you die horribly!" With that the girl vanished.
  4. "Return. Now."
  5. "Your mother is dying."
  6. "The dragon is weak and ill. It's undersides is now vulnerable to gold."
  7. "Sir Josh inhabits the mind of the dragon."
