Deux Ex Reaibna

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 75417

Scott hears the steps getting closer, and realizes with a sinking, sickly feeling that he is not going to make it. Pushing forward, he reaches the door of his car and goes to grab the handle, only to feel an icy chill on his back and then...

With a flash of emerald brilliance, Reaibn appears between the children and Scott. But this is not the Reaibn that Scott has known for years. This Reaibn has a pulsing purple and blue aura and eyes that glow with a fierce emerald light. He stands about ten feet tall, and puts his hand up in a warding gesture.

"STOP, CHILDREN OF THE UNRAVELLER!!" he commands, and the two fiendish children do stop, as if they have hit a brick wall. They then look at Reaibn with hate, growling. When they speak, it is with a softer, more disturbing tone than that with which they talked to Scott, layered with many voices as if a demonic choir.

"what are you doing, reaibn?", their heads now dangling limp, as if rag dolls propped up. "why do you wield your chaos-fire? what of the treaty? what of the tower? you cannot interfere with my children."

~get in the car Scott, leave!~ Scott hears in his head, and does that. He cannot believe Reaibn just saved his ass, he definitely owes him life-debt now.

"I DO WHAT I MUST TO PROTECT THOSE UNDER MY CARE. TOUCH NOT THE CHAOS-BRINGERS, OR I WILL DESTROY YOUR CHILDREN! says Reaibn, keeping his hand palm up towards their limp figures.

"then it begins," says the voice, and as if timed there is a loud peal of thunder from the storm clouds above." you shall have your way this time, demigod, but the next may go against you." and at this the children crumble into dust before Reaibn's eyes.

Shrinking back down to normal, his eyes returning to their normal green humanesque ones, Reaibn sighs. It was the only way to protect Scott, but what he had just done would cause problems in the future. The near future. Shit.

And now...

  1. We stick with Reaibn, as he appears in the car next to Scott.
  2. We go to Josh, currently sneaking onto the set of 'Emeril Live'
  3. We go to Fred and Astra, stuck in a deep dark refuse pit. How did they get there?
  4. We go to Velus, human Velus, eating some soup in an Inn.
  5. We go to Velus, doggy Velus, urinating on King Emry's best robe.
  6. Screw it, we go to Belboz, who is vacationing on the water.
