Blood of the Heretic

"It is a.. eeeeyaaagh!!" the man screamed as a horrific nightmarish beast suddenly materialized in mid-air behind him. The brutal heathen monstrosity swung a giant serrated sword over his head, splitting the unfortunate man in half from head to scrotum.

"Bwahahahaha" the unholy abberation laughed in a booming voice, though there was no joy in its tone. "Death to all who oppose my Master."

More of the monsters appeared everywhere, laughing and swinging their swords at the archaeological crew members who scattered in fear. Fred drew his sword and flew forward to slash at the odious malformed denizen of darkness' head, but it blocked with its armguard and punched him in the chest hard. He was flung back wheezing in pain and landed with a crunch on a small castle platform that had just been cleared of the dust and dirt of the centuries. The stone, worn and corroded by the passage of time cracked beneath his weight and Fred was sent plummetting into a darkness that had not seen human habitation in hundreds of years..

Exotica staggered as if in a daze and flung out her arms. "I'll get it right this time!' she swore. "ecalp eurt ruoy ot nruter sehtolc llA!!"

Thunder rumbled in the distance and there was a sound like that of countless voices crying out in fear. Velus barked. "What are you doing? We've got to figure out some way - any way to help Lord Fred!"

"Right!" Exotica blanched. "I'm sorry.. I feel so drained.. I'll give it another shot."

"Wait, wait, maybe it's really not such a good idea," Andrew began to say.

"noitacol emas eht ot derF dna su ekaT!!" Exotica exclaimed and everything went dark.

1. Andrew's entire house has been uprooted and is now dangling from a web of tree roots in a dark ancient cavern underneath Fred's family castle.
2. Fred's entire family castle has been uprooted and is now looming over the houses in Andew's comfortable suburban neighborhood.
