Strange reaction

The two women looked curiously at her and blinked, then they looked at each other and nodded, and before Nendi could do or say much more they each grabbed one of her arms, dragged her down a side alley and through a door into what turned out to be a storeroom, and dumped her unceremoniously on what turned out to be a bale of fabric.

"What do you know about the tapestry?" one of them asked while the other shut the door but seemed to make a point of not barring it.

1. Nendi tells the truth.
2. She makes something up.
3. She refuses to talk before the women tell their story.
4. She makes for the door.
5. Someone enters from the main part of the building.
6. For some inexplicable reason they all burst into laughter.
7. Nendi acts her chronological age, i.e. cries like a little girl.
