A meal, but not much in the way of company

Stacy helped herself to a sandwich and some fruit. She briefly considered
sampling some of the alcoholic beverages -- after the day she'd had, she
considered herself more than entitled -- but decided she wanted to keep her
head as clear as possible just in case... though case of what she
didn't quite know. At any rate, she picked a bottle of 7-Up instead and
sat herself down at one of the many empty tables. While she ate, she kept one eye on the man with the coffee. He had been ignoring her completely, simply gazing into his cup with a morose expression and taking a small sip once every few mintues. She wondered if he was waiting for someone. She wondered if he were a prisoner the way she was. She wondered... Hell, she wondered a lot of things. And there was only one way to get any answers. She resolved to go and strike up a conversation with the man.
