Stacy Has a Shock

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 7034

Stacy had of course taken a good look at the rats when she had the chance, but they had looked normal enough to her. Thus she wasn't expecting any unpleasant shocks from the notebook. And indeed the first half of the notebook contained what she had expected to find based on her conversation with Jimmy. The rats had apparently ceased to age once they had been treated. Unfortunately the noteboom did not give any details of what the treatment had been; as a humble lab assistant, Susan might well not have been told that, or perhaps it was too confidential to be included. Some three months after they had been treated, one by one the rats had suddenly seemed to lose their memory.

Then she came to the worrying part:

  1. Not only were the rats not aging, but the treatment seemed to have switched the juvenile growth mechanism back on. The rats were now 25% larger than they had been and were still growing.
  2. The rats were not just not aging. They had actually started to grow younger.
  3. The rats were beginning to go blind.
