Stacy went along quietly with the man, careful to make no sudden moves and
to call no attention to them. It would be pretty ironic, she thought, if
he were to panic and shoot her by mistake after she'd decided to
cooperate. They descended into the subway tunnel. Stacy wondered what was
going to happen next. Was he really intending to take her on a subway ride
with a gun in her back the whole way? Well, it might not be the first time
