After all, there's probably nothing I can do for Susan herself, right? And I think she'd want me to look after her family and her work." Melaine and Carol nodded understandingly. Whew. At least she'd recovered from that little slip.

"I'll probably go by there tonight, then," she said... and then suddenly realized that, of course, she had no idea where "there" was. Um... I'm afraid that, like I told Carol, I don't quite remember where Susan lives. And I don't have a car. I hate to impose, but if one of you could maybe give me a ride, I'd be grateful."

"Sure, I'll take you," said Carol.
"Well, I guess I can give you a ride," said Melanie.
"It's only just down the street," said Melanie. "It's probably just as easy to walk."
