Susan the Swordsman

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 68320

Susan had dressed as a female traveller of the Kingdom, in a long swirling red skirt, leather shoes and white blouse with a light leather jacket over it. She had several pouches over her hips to carry supplies, asd the borrowed sword hung in a sheath across her back. The Dragon's cave was not far, and so she had not seen any need to buy a horse or carry too many provisions.

As night fell however, she wished she had at least brought a pony or a dog or Charles or anything she could converse with without sounding crazy. "Ahahahaha," she chuckled, making her way under some low hanging branches. "Sure is scary outside at night. I wish I knew what I was doing out here so late when I should be fixing supper for Charles."

Slipping out from under the branches she suddenly came face to face with three startled men trying to light a campfire. The moonlight illuminated their harsh, unshaven features which swiftly went from looks of fear to ones of grim satisfaction.

"Tis not the King's men, tis but a saucy wench wandering around late at night," grinned one of the bandits, picking up a long, rusty sword from the ground. "You'll have to do what we say now, if you want to live, wench!"

"P-please sires, have mercy!" Susan gasped as the men moved to surround her. "I am but a humble wench unworthy of your notice! If you but spare my life I... hey!!"

Suddenly snapping back to knight-mode again Susan drew her sword and flew forward, chopping off a bandit's head and spinning around to remove the axe-arm of another one, who fell to the ground and started shrieking. The third bandit, who had the rusty sword came at her from the side then with a a wild, unbalanced swing she decided to easily turn aside. But Susan had underestimated the muscle mass she had lost in turning into a girl, and to her surprise the sword flew out of her hand to thud into the ground, and the bandit then landed on top of her.

"Get off me!" Susan screamed, clawing at the man's face. He only laughed and tore at her clothes, as if heedless of his dying comrade's pleas for help mere paces away. Suddenly a crossbow bolt thudded into the man's neck and he fell dead on top of her. Susan pushed him away and made to rise to thank her saviour, who was none other than...

  1. Charles.
  2. A group of the King's Knights.
  3. A group of Pirates, though honorable ones.
  4. Dishonorable pirates.
  5. Ninjas.
