Fred risked a peek out of the doorway to see if Wexler or Sarls or someone
was guarding her. Seeing no one, she moved cautiously but hastily down
the corridor.
Finally, several yards down the hallway, she came to one of the ship's
access crawlways. The question was, where should she go now? Calling up
memories of the ship, she realized the brig was somewhere in the midst of
the belowdecks. Ironically, she realized she was now quite close to the
shuttlebay, where LeClerc and orderly Robbie London were safely tucked
aboard the "Cabot". Should she retreat to safety there? Or journey on
blindly into the heart of "Enterprise" to try and find Scotty or Spock or
one of the others?

Fred decides that her best bet is to make it back to the shuttle with LeClerc and London.
