Gerbil finally gets the medical attention for his bizarrely mutilated
face. Since the shock of his injuries has destroyed his memory of the
actual incident, you wonder if it will ever be explained. One of the doctors at the Saint Crispin's General Hospital explains that Gerbil was attack by a zombie and this was what removed his face. He further explains that it was only Gerbil's status as a zombie detector that allowed him to just barely make it past being infected in the first place. "LALALALA!" you scream. "I cannot hear you, I don't know what happened to Gerbil!" Later, you wake up in the hospital's mental health ward for a confusing six weeks. When you leave, Gerbil had been given a new face. Not out of any generosity by anyone, as you are Gerbil's only friend. Just that the goverment needs all the zombie detectors it can get, especially since that wave of detector killings by the Gibson Cult a few months back. Gerbil's new face makes him look like...
