Something about mated pairs, indeed!

Pilot Asuka Langley Soryu (Asuka II)

The brash and violent tempered red headed female pilot, as seen in the anime. In this case, we see her about the time after the Neon Genesis Angel Arael mindraped her. As such, she'd lost the ability to pilot Unit 02 (thus the reason why another pilot had been called to replace her).

However, with the recent events and revelations (up to and including the sudden miraculous return of her MOTHER), she'd not so sure that she really . . . wanted to pilot Unit 02 any more. After all, it was her MOTHER trapped inside there and all that... To go back to piloting Unit 02 meant that her mother would have to go back inside!

As of right now, is still unconscious from the beating she received while transformed into a dragon. Back to "normal" (i.e. returned to human) but Sigin is concerned about her and Shinji Akari.

Something about "mated pairs"....

Deputy Commander Kôzô Fuyutsuki (Kozo II)-Incarcerated. Awaiting trial.

Dr. Naoko Akagi

This is Dr. Ritsuko Akagi's mother, the creator of the NERV supercomputer known as the Maji. Information on the woman can be found her:

However, due to some weird quirk of fate, the good doctor here got yanked out of her own time (to the present). Alive and well.

That and before anything . . . unfortunate could happen between her and Rei I. Though, to be honest the woman says that she would have only given the young girl a severe spanking.

She believes it, anyway. Others like Elrondir would only give it a 50/50 chance of it being true or not. A lot would say that she'd have strangled Rei I, protests to the contrary.

Is more than a bit embarrassed over the whole thing and SORRY. Had said sorry to Rei I, who'd been a stalking horse in this whole affair.

Right now, mostly worried over the mess her daughter has gotten into while working under Commander Akari.

Tabris-Kaworu Nagisa is his legal name, but his "true" name is Tabris, the Angel of Free Will (ala Neon Genesis). Truly believed that he was a true Angel until a fateful encounter with an Angel named Astra (a warrior Angel of the Office of Good) and that . . . pretty much turned his world upside down and backwards. Having survived the transition of his reality by being transformed into human, he found himself transported to the world of Inquirer's Earth, decades prior to the time this story takes place. Having been sworn to secrecy to his true origins, he instead opted on joining the Military (being that few other viable options presented itself). Once in, he fought in the Enemy/Alliance war and . . . pretty much got "assimilated" into humanity. Wholly human in mind, body and soul (albeit a very pale looking human) he soon married and had children of his own . . . and was expecting grandchildren soon enough.

Got whisked away from a patrol and (besides being youthened back to a teen) plunked down into the situation where things were getting . . . dangerous between Rei I and Dr. Naoko Akagi and intervened (with drawn gun).

Next thing everyone knows, he Rei I and the Naoko find themselves with Elrondir's group. The rest you know.

Is at present one of the two "fonts of Chaos Energy" but has some news concerning that . . . and one of the patients that Dr. McCoy and Elrondir had just been treating!

Rei Ayanami (Rei I)-Well, this is the four year old version of the blue haired, pale girl from the anime. The first incarnation/clone, as it were. But however technically this young girl technically doesn't belong here because she actually (by all reckoning) hales from another reality all together. Furthermore, unlike Reika Quatermain or Rei Quatermain, this is what could only be considered an . . . artificial reincarnation of a Yui Akari!!

Has no real recollection of her prior life, but recognizes (and has bonded) to the other Yui Akaris via the doppelganger reaction, as analog sisters.

Her prior life is beyond retrieval from magical and scientific means for various reasons. That and most felt that it perhaps would be in her best interests that she . . . doesn't recall her old life.

Whatever the case, she is now a rather sweet (if somewhat naive) child of four. Is still somewhat understandably shook up by what has all happened here, but the others are doing their best to help her cope.

Is the other font of Chaos Energy in this Quest.

Major Misato Katsuragi (Misato II) -This is the purple haired woman as seen in the anime. Presently in command of NERV, what with her being the only senior member of the command staff not under arrest. Had surrendered to the JSSDF forces in order to bring about a resolution to matters which could have been a VERY bloody affair if it had gone differently.

Ryouji Kaji (Kaji I)-The spy from the anime, mysteriously returned from the dead. Is got a LOT to talk about with “his” Misato when this mess is all cleared up...

Neon Genesis Evangelion (manga)

Lilith-Hm, this one is an interesting character. She IS the second Angel as seen in the series, from whom all of mankind had haled from (i.e was the mother of all of humanity). However, this is where it gets STRANGE. She somehow went . . . outside of herself and lived the life of a human woman named Yui Akari first and then got force reincarnated as a Rei Ayanami!

Makes for a rather interesting conversation topic, let us just say!

Got inducted into being a Champion by a series of unlikely events, but would rather be a Champion than a Neon Genesis Angel (what where she was allowed to remember that that tract was a never ending series of reincarnations . . . .same story over and over again).

HER validation Quest was similar to Reika's Validation Quest, only the Champion to play mentor/aid had supposed to have been AK-47 (Inquirer's daughter from Star Wars). But somehow that whole thing got tangled together (world and all as it turns out) with the anime world. With her Quest having somehow gotten tangled up with Reika's, it accounts for why things are so OVERWHELMING in as far as the odds facing the Champions.

More on that later, but whatever the case there is going to be a bit of Hell to pay for this here soon enough. Who shall be paying it remains to be seen, though.

Commander Gendo Akari (Gendo II)-Incarcerated. Same charges as his anime counterpart for same reasons. Also under suicide watch.

Not that it would be a terrible loss to many if he should kill himself....

Deputy Commander Kôzô Fuyutsuki (Kôzô I)-Same as his anime counterpart. Incarcerated. Awaiting trial.

Dr. Ritsuko Akaji (“Ritsipoo”)-Deragatory nickname given by various people to differentiate her from her anime counterpart. Is facing the full charges of aiding and abetting genocide and various other crimes against humanity and such. Was not offered any plea bargaining or such. What with her having been caught trying to strangle Lilith . . . it was felt that she didn’t deserve any help. Locked up and awaiting trail.

Major Misato Katsuragi (Misato I)-Working in tamdem with her anime counterpart with HER version of NERV. Is presently the only senior command staff member in charge not under arrest.

Like her counterpart, is more than taken aback at today's events but more so. She'd been in the MIDDLE of the events of Third Impact when everything got . . . reset!

Is having something of a handful with some displaced UN generals from her world who are rather ticked off at finding themselves "guests" of the anime JSSDF. It's clear that they aren't in their counterpart's chain of command or whatever, but still! . . .

Interesting times....

Kyoko Zeppelin Soryu I-This is the mother of the Second Child, as seen in the manga. Mysteriously returned to life, freed from the confines of Unit 02. . . . but without memory of events before the Contact Experiment which left an insane (and soulless) empty shell behind.

Had been under some kind of malicious spell of some type and almost played out events where she (or should we say her empty shell) had hung herself. Herself and that rag doll that her empty shell mistook for her real daughter. Had been saved from that and she snapped out of it.

Is currently caring for her youthened daughter, Asuka I. THIS time, after having heard what her daughter had gone through . . . she shall not fail her as a mother. She had been away too much for her duties for Project E and all that (to provide a future for her daughter), but now this time around it's a chance to make things right!

She will not fail her daughter this time around. Her little one needs her!

Pilot Asuka Akari (Asuka III)- This is the female of Unit 02, as seen from the manga. Has (or should I say had) a similar temperament as her manga counterpart, but that seemed to have been exorcised with the age regression she underwent. She now is in mind, body, and soul a four year old girl . . . as what she had been like just prior to her mother hanging herself (and her finding the body)!

With her mother back in her right mind and having vowed not to ignore her again, things are looking up for this little girl.

That said and done, was rather angered at her older “sister” for being so mean to her new friend: Rei I. Calling her a doll and such was . . . .mean. Called Asuka II on it and forced her to promise to appologize to Rei I and the other Reis as well!

. . .

If anyone can get Asuka to back off like that it’s Asuka.

Pilot Shinji Akari (Shinji I)-The manga version of the angsty boy pilot from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Due to the Chaos energy in the air, got zapped and turned into a young girl: the splitting image of Nadia (ala the anime Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water). This, naturally, wasn’t taken well at all by poor Shinji here and she had to be magically tranquilized by Alan Qautermain.

The transformation is permanent (i.e. is Matrix based). Well beyond the means of the Champions to magically reverse.

And as it turns out . . . Tabris tells the others that Astra the Angel has whisked Shinji here away to help her . . . come to terms with her new lot in life. That and she as well (after being sworn to secrecy) was swept up to the same world and time as Tabris had been.

That and . . . one thing led to another and . . . she married Tabris.

All and all, Tabris was a bit . . . .taken aback by this (a relationship he’d been ordered to garner in a way with the Shinji Akari of his world).

Lilith is more than a bit flabbergasted by this a well....

The Champions

The Doctor-Presently out of action from actions taken to bring about a successful conclusion to Rei’s Validation Quest. Up in the Sickbay of the Enterprise, being tended to by the medical personnel there.

Rei Ayanami Quatermain-Adopted 18 year old daughter of Mina and Alan. Former Pilot and First Child. Now sees herself as whole and reborn, as it were. Was NOT going to leave Reika in the dire straights she was in and one thing lead to another . . . Has blue wings and hair. Red eyes.

Reika Ayanami Quatermain-Newly adopted 14 year old daughter of Mina and Alan. Was in her third incarnation when she got swept up (and transformed) by events. Has red hair and wings. Also that and shocking green eyes.

“Uh . . .all that and because of events getting tangled up with Lilith’s Quest both Quests are getting . . . re-negotiated as we speak,” Tabris finishes up. “Aslan will get back to us on that here in a moment.”

The others blink at Tabris at that, which the former Neon Genesis Angel only shrugs helplessly and shakes his head. Not like he’d planned on this, you know!!

When we get the chance I’ll . . . introduce you to the children, Tabris thinks quietly to himself, looking at the pictures of his brood.

1. Mentally, he feels that putting it off for a time would be best for Lilith. This is kind of a bit to swallow all at once, you know.
