Neurosis! Fixations! Perhaps even a psychosis or three?

Well, whatever the case we don't need to go over that, eh? Let's just concentrate on that list.

Half-life

Dr. Gordon Freeman-Just like in the video game, this guy was at ground zero when all Hell broke back at Black Mesa. However, the guy got teleported here to the Neon Genesis world were events were REALLY going south from the movie script. Was the first person that the displaced Dr. McCoy met in the "Rei Aquarium". Will play little if any further part in this story due to having been unintentionally marooned up on the Enterprise, in orbit above.

The G-man-Another figure from the video game. Is as mysterious (and perhaps amoral) as his video counterpart. However, while perhaps somewhat selfish in his motivations (does things more in the best interests of his and his race's best interests) he DOES also do things that benefits others as well. Albeit out of a sense of enlightened self interest if nothing else, anyway.

Has agreed to lend whatever support and knowledge he has about the Iconian gateways in order for a bit of "quid pro quo". Some of the Star Trek technology (properly employed and deployed) would be SO very useful in his battle against his enemies like the Combine. Besides, by helping him and his kind the othes shall be helping themselves as well.

The Combine are NOT good neighbors, shall we say...

Neon Genesis Evangelion (anime), "The Dawntreader"

Commander Rei Ayanami-This is actually the Yui Akari of Rei Quatermain's reality, soul taking up residence in one of the few remaining Rei clones (ala the Dummy Plug cores). Took up the real Rei's identity in order to avoid awkward questions as to how a woman who'd been declared dead and gone could be back among the living.

Dyes her hair brown and wears colored contacts to make herself look as close as she had in her old body. Is the commanding officer of The Dawntreader.

She and Rei Quatermain do not get along, despite Ayanami's lingering guilty conscious over the suffering she inadvertently caused the young woman.

Dr. Reika Ayanami-This is actually Kyoko Zeppelin Soryu, who's soul got sucked into Unit 02 only to return to human by getting sucked into one of Rei Quatermain's empty shells (ala the Dummy Plug core of Unit 02). Like Commander Rei Ayanami, she opted on posing as someone else instead of revealing her true identity to the world. Is the science officer of the Dawntreader.

Vice-Commander Misato Kaji (Misato III)-This is the older version of the purple haired operations director as seen in the anime. Has married Ryoji Kaji. Had been back on the magical world which her Tokyo 3 had been whisked upon when she and her husband found themselves here. Has been lending a hand (or a shoulder to cry upon) where and when her counterpart needs it.

Ryoji Kaji (Kaji II)-This is the twenty year elder of the spy as seen from the anime. Married Misato. The rest you know.

Pilot Asuka Akari (Asuka III)-This is the mature version of the Asuka Langley Soryu as seen in the anime. Through therapy has overcome her problems and married fellow pilot, Shinji Akari. Is somewhat embarrassed at the recent outburst of her younger sister but understands her because, after all, they ARE mirrors of each other in a way.

One of several people capable of being able to handle the interfacing with the Dawntreader whilst in flight. Looks like her EVA piloting skills paid dividends in the new role she found herself in here.

Pilot Shinji Akari (Shinji III)-The mature, more self confident version of the anime character of the same name in the anime show. Through counseling got through his problems and married his Asuka.

While having gotten over the wounds of the past, still has a lingering hatred for his father and is DOES not wish to meet the analogs of the man who abandoned him so long ago and then used him in such grievous manners.

Neon Genesis Evangelion (anime)

Yui Akari II-Like Commander Rei Ayanami, this woman got sucked out of this world’s Unit 01 and into a "vacant" (i.e. soulless) Rei clone. However, due to something to do with Reika's Quest indoctrination, Yui looks like she had just before being sucked into Unit 01!

Is still confused and disoriented by everything from today but has been comforting her son as best as she can. A very welcome change to actually be able to touch her son after so long stuck inside Unit 01, let me tell you!!

Also is a bit distraught that Sigin put her son into the infirmary, even IF they young boy had been changed into a dragon on a rampage! Had been a bit of a headache for the dragon mage, that last part . . . especially considering how Yui can actually be when the product of her own flesh and blood is concerned! Ask those defunct Neon Genesis Angels out there how she was whilst Yui was inside Unit 01 and they got on the wrong side of her for hurting her little boy!!

Kyoko Zeppelin Soryu II-This is the mother of Pilot Asuka Soryu, miraculously returned from the depths of Unit 02 and to life through getting sucked into that particular unit's Dummy Core (ala a spare Rei clone). Like Yui of this world, she got changed back into looking as she had before her Unit 02 mess. Which is good, considering that by THIS time the deep hatred that Asuka had towards the pilot of Unit 00! It would have just complicated the relationship between Kyoko and her daughter.

Goodness knows how it had complicated things between the elder versions of the two, let me tell you.

All said and done, she's glad to be out of Unit 02 and back with her daughter, even IF she's more than a bit chagrinned with her daughter's recent actions and words with Rei I and such!

Is also more than a bit concerned about what had happened to her daughter, but at least she calmed down enough (faster than Yui) after it was explained that lesser measures would have failed. Strong enough magicks would have taken too long for they rampaging draconized Asuka and Shinji would have been upon Sigin and friends. Phasors on heavy stun and other stun shots from energy pistols would have failed for the beast has been too massive.

Pilot Shinji Akari (Shinji II)-Yep, this is the angst ridden boy robot pilot as seen in the anime. By this time he'd been something of an emotional wreck, what with the rollercoaster of emotions he'd been through recently. The person he'd come to care for goes and sacrifies herself right before his eyes to save him from being assimilated by the latest Neon Genesis Angel. Somehow a miracle happens and the same young woman seems to have survived the explosion, only it becomes very obvious that something isn't right here.

Then, after a fury of confusion and chaos, he finds out that "his" Rei (now Reika) is his half sister?!

Then, Asuka is taking him aside (mad as anything for some reason) to talk with him about them...

Then . . . somehow and in some way he gets changed into a dragon and attacks Tabris and the others.

A LOT of things sort out when he wakes up here soon. That and something about the whole mess has Sigin worried about him and Asuka here.
