Sudden Impulse

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 6537

Fred's face turned red with anger and then suddenly, inexplicably he had the sudden impulse to hug and cuddle Abe (the ex-adventurer, ex-prisoner, still-transformed-tiger). He tried to fight this desire but was not strong enough (after all, it was written into the option!). Abe, who had not seen a man in quite some time let alone been touched by one -and let's not forget he does have a wife... somehwere- was shocked. He bit Fred in the left hand!

"OW!"

"That's what you get, you, you...well geez, I'm not sure what you are!"

"A victim of cruel magicks to be sure," answered Fred who was both massaging his hand and spitting out tiger fur from his mouth at the same time. "Damn stupid wyrm..." continued Fred muttering a few choice obscenities.

They then opened the door from which behind either gorilla noises or hippo noises were emananting - even though the obvious conclusion is a gorilla (let's not forget the previous episode's title!) we must respect Abe's conviction that making facts out of assumptions is not a good thing.

From out of the room bounded the hugest, meanest, scariest, and most pissed-off gorilla that either Fred or Abe had ever seen! And to makes things even more frightening, its hair was blue! It roared, it screamed, it growled and it pounded its chest over and over and over and over again!

Fred, instinctively (I mean preservation of one's life counts for something, right?) ran to the left. Abe (also in that Darwinian state of mind) ran right. The gorilla kept on pounding its chest and then starting yelling, "GROD!"

  1. What is 'Grod'? A name? A place? A cry for help? or maybe a gorilla-obscenity?
  2. After running full speed, Fred and Abe run smack into each other and discover that the cave corridor is a circle, they can still hear the gorilla yelling.
  3. Suddenly there is a 'pop' and a tiny centaur fell from the ceiling of the cavern, a centaur holding a photography camera. It was screaming at the top of its lungs: "I shall steal all your souls! Bwahahahahaha!"
