As for Kenobi and the others, players in this play?

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 60565

Those who did not get racked up on the Death Star (more on that in a bit) are discussing a few things (some a little more heated than others).

But not TOO heated, let me just add. One does not shout in a hospital ward, you know. Oh, it is a very special ward (caters to only the most well to do on this planet), but it is a hospital ward all the same.

Why are they here and who is the patient? Well, it is Princess Leia, alas, who is the patient. See, like what Vader had hoped for had happened. The fact that she had somehow slipped her bonds had caused some trigger happy goons to . . .

Well, at least she survived long enough to be rescued (though only through heroic intervention which shall be explained in a moment)....

"Look," Chiana sighs slightly in exasperation. "Ever since we've practically met we've been at each others' frellin' throats! Could we just, you know, drop it and stuff. It's gettin kinda . . . old."

"Fine by me," Kenobi cedes after a few seconds hesitation. "But why are the others . . . 'sore at me' still?"

His last meeting with the others had been . . . more than a little chilly, shall we say.

Chiana

"Uh . . . well . . . you'd been . . . right about what you finally kinda forced them into doing but they don't have to like ya for it," I begin, trying to gather my thoughts in explaining this latest . . . mess. "However, being right is not really why they snapped at you like they did a bit ago. It has more to do . . . with other things."

Yeah, even I had to agree with Kenobi in the end about releasing ALL of the dren about Star Wars and that. I mean, the Empire (even in it's reduced form) has a hellacious propoganda toolbox. One might not think that releasing the entirety of all three of the Star Wars movie trilogies (episodes 1-3, episodes 3-5, and episodes 6-9) might be a foolish move, but FRELL the people we've let see it (in tightly controlled showings) have been . . . I have NEVER exactly seen such reactions in others seeing what basically are their lives shown . . .

Well, it kind of has a draw with the natives of this Star Wars reality. Kinda has a mindnumbing effect on it as well . . . something mystical really.

Kinda didn't want to do that to the people here. Was bad enough when, due to trying to finally understand that one Crichton who'd been forced to- to . . .

That other Crichton.... I don't hate him (now), but I shall never call him friend. Besides, even though all the shows I saw in the Farscape series finally made it able for me to move on and forgive that . . . .creep I . . .

(Note: Chiana here is speaking of where the "Fourth Season" version of her friend had nearly shot another alternate reality version of herself in desperation to retrieve vital information to rescue his love, Aeryn Sun. That version of Crichton is looked down upon by her still and NOW her version of John Crichton . . . is more of a knight in shining armor than before in her book).

. . .

I'm not the same...

Sigh, and besides all that dren as an aside that creep version of MY Crichton cannot hold a candle the real one!

That said, we're doing what-what we've got to do and BOY is that gonna mess with a lot of minds (the unconsious princess here especially).

That and talk about invasion of PRIVACY!!

"Other things such as?" Kenobi probes after a few seconds of silence from me. "Pardon if I perhaps am being . . . intrusive. If so I appologize. . . ."

And frell, the old coger IS at that, damnit. Honestly, sometimes this Jedi made me so made with his "holier than thou" attitude he had from time to time I . . .

Well, frell.

Sigh, well at least if nothing else I know from what I've seen of his character (AND from what Critchon told me of this . . . the story that this place is based upon) . . .

. . .

Weird dren, this stuff... At least I know now just why Crichton's translator microbes has every Peacekeeper (the "Space Nazis" of my home reality) he hears speaking with an "English" accent: he equated the PKs with the Imperials! The Imperials who were played by English actors (and by queer quirk of Fate the heroes of the piece had American accents . . . why not Austrailian accent like I finally chose for myself right before my transfiguration or . . .nevermind).

Got to wonder about Crichton sometime . . .

But whether or not that human's mind is on the blinks or no, there is something I remember him telling me about ONE particular Star Wars character that he said was rather . . . . trying.

I agree, that one guido IS at that!

  1. "The . . .person we had to deal with in order to do the revealing is someone you should understand just WHY we're rather annoyed with everything right now," I sigh. "Does the name Jar Jar Binks ring a bell?"
