Lucieno's Plan

"You're not going to erase some of his memory, are you?" Astra asked, horrified.

The dragon mage chuckled. "Nothing so drastic, my dear Astra. I'll simply fog his mind so Fred escorting him home will be the only thing he remembers." He paused briefly. "On second thought, I could have him say you were travelling with him to Sonnerheim. It would mean mentioning the curse, though."

Astra didn't look too pleased about that. "Can't you think of something else?"

"No. I'm certain it'll work, only if you collaborate what Ambaric says. Namely: he tried to help you, but it backfired, hence your current appearance. He realised it's a bigger problem than he could deal with, so he's taking you to someone with more experience on such matters, and you met up with Fred in the interim."

Fred still had a problem with trust as far as Ambaric was concerned, so wasn't too happy about the idea that Astra would have been travelling with him, even if it was for their cover story. He looked over to Astra who still seemed reluctant, but she eventually went along with Lucieno's idea.

1. Not wanting to cause a fuss, Fred agreed.
