Countdown 4... 3... 2... to Infinite Breakdancing!

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 58944

the Place: Justice League Watchtower

the People: the active members of the J.L. - Superman (alien from a doomed planet), Batman (grown orphan with a penchant for sharp objects and a thing for cowls), Wonder Woman (able to break a man's bones in two yet seductive at the same time), Flash (protege of the Flash who perished in the original Crisis), Martian Manhunter (alien from Mars - past or present is not quite known), and Green Lantern (also called the second stringer, the bench warmer, or sometimes just The Replacement).

"...even if they seem useless. Now does anyone have any idea about how to stop him?"

"Hold it right there!" yelled out John. "Look at me! Just LOOK at me! I'm BLACK, OK... Sheesh, what does it take to get a cultural nod around here?! Breakdancing is my people's thing!"

The others stared in stunned silence.

"Uh, John," said J'onn. "I thought, um, your people were, uh, the Green Lantern Corp."

"That's just like a honky!" cried out Green Lantern.

"Honky?" said Superman. "Did he just say--"

"What is honky?" asked Wonder Woman.

Flash - Wally West - couldn't believe this, he was the youngest of the bunch, he understood the whole 'No one understands me' thing but where the 'That's so 70s' vehemence was coming from he just did not know.

"Honky is a perjorative for white man," answered Batman.

"But I am green," said a perplexed Martian Manhunter.

Suddenly the whole room was filled with maniacal laughter: BWAHAHAHAHA HAHAHA WAHAHAWAWABWAHAH!!!!!!

Green Lantern fell to the floor, apparently unconscious, and the Martian Manhunter fell as well after creasing his forehead as if in great pain. Flash stood motionless not understanding what was happening while Wonder Woman dove to the ground, did a triple somersault to the left, raised her arms in a defensive posture and kicked out with her right leg - she may not have known what was happening but she surmised an invisible assailant and figured fighting air was better than doing nothing.

Suddenly Superman began to tremble, his nerves and muscles seemed not his own. A voice spoke within his mind: "Shush, Big Man," said the voice with a Puerto Rican accent. "I'm Vibe, remember me, man? Dr Ivo's damn robots murdered me way back when, man, but if you guys are gonna beat this stick guy you guys need to know the Breakdance... and I'm your man. So, let me possess you for a while, ok, man? By the way, Wonder Woman is a hot chica, man, muy caliente..."

The Happyman couldn't tell what exaclty was happening in the Watchtower - he had been distracted by thoughts of eating India (he liked spicey food). "What's taking so long? and why's Green Lantern and Manhunter taking a nap? This ain't no time for a freakin nap!"

Meanwhile...

"Are we there yet?"

"No."

"Are we there yet?"

"No!"

"Are we there yet?"

"NO!"

Alexander Luthor (son of the most-moral, most-good yet most-dead Lex Luthor of Earth-3, was now quite insane and evil - but wouldn't you be too, after spending every moment since 1985 cooped up with an un-aging Superman and his dying wife Lois of Earth-2 and an un-aging, adolescent Superboy of Earth-Prime?) really, really wanted to slice off Superboy's head with a Kryptonite-laced machete, but he needed the blathering idiot and his highly charged adolescent emotions - like guilt, jealousy and anger.

  1. Will Superman/Clark Kent - who knows not jive from bling-bling allow himself to be possessed by the ghost of former JLA member Vibe? and if so, will there be long-term consequences?!!?
  2. Will Alex Luthor control himself long enough to not kill Superboy Prime before the plan is finished?
  3. If the J.L. fails, are there any other hero-dancers capable of fending off the Happyman???
  4. ...and what about Storm Shadow?
