The Never Ending Quest - Episode 58900

Fred wasn't a good liar at the best of times, and one of the fey is not easy to deceive. "You're lying to me, mortal," the Queen said, her voice no longer soft and sweet but harsh. "I may not be able to harm you, but let us see how long it will be before you tell me the truth if I start to torture your friend."

She gestured at Astra, who writhed in pain and opened her mouth in a silent scream. She gestured a second time and Astra relaxed, the pain apparently gone.

"Would you like me to give her a longer dose, or will you be sensible?" she asked.

"I'll tell you about the elf," Fred said, wondering how she would react when she learned of how he and Astra had treated him.

He told her everything. When he had finished:

  1. The Queen of the Fey was consumed by rage.
  2. He had a surprise. The Queen of the Fey laughed. "I was looking for that elf to punish him," she said. "It seems that you have carried out part of his punishment for me. Show me where he is, and I will let you and your friend go."
