Instinctively, Fred threw his hands over his mouth, as if they would block
the spell. At this, the Queen of Fey laughed triumphantly.
”Try to stop it, young knight, but know you are sure to fail!” ”You foul, wret-“Fred stopped suddenly. He had expected no words to come out of his mouth, yet there they were, coming smoothly as they always did. The Queen of Fey was baffled. She repeated the same gesture over and over but had no luck (“Your magic appears to be failing, sorceress”). Just then, the Queen noticed Fred’s amour and sword.“Steel! Iron!” she hissed scornfully into the night. “How dare you bring your foul treacheries into our forest? Take hold of your sinful objects and leave this forest immediately!” ”I don’t understand” said Fred, shifting awkwardly. “It’s just steel and ir-““Steel and Iron created by your melting of the forests’ treasures!” she hissed again. “You think nothing of saving nature! You think only of destroying it for your self gain. Now, heed this warning! Take your items and leave these woods at once. I have little time for the likes of you. I have an elf to find.” Fred tried, with all of his might, to hide the reaction on his face. ”Elf? Could she be talking about the same elf that had attacked us?” Unfortunately, Fred couldn’t hide it well enough. The Queen of Fey stepped closer to Fred, eying him with suspicion. Her voice grew softer and sweeter as she spoke. ”I can tell by your face alone that you know something about this elf. Come, young knight. Tell me what you know about this creature.” A soft, seductive smile curled onto her face. “Remember, I am the Queen of Fey. You’re assistance would be most…rewarded.”
