The Morning After

He disappeared before Fred or Astra could say anything. All there was left for them to do was say their good nights again and see if they could get back to sleep after this strange encounter.

In the morning they all woke up feeling refreshed. Due to the magical nature of the inn, anyone staying there would feel like they've had a good nights sleep regardless for how long they actually slept.

After they'd freshened up themselves, they were informed that breakfast would be served at their convenience. Given the unusual - well to them it was - nature of their dinner, they both wondered what peculiar item would be offered today.

Sitting at the table, Astra found that breakfast was to be grapefruit, though Fred had to be informed was it was. They also had a cup of a beverage that neither of them had seen before, and both were told that it was known as green tea. Velus had a similar meal to what he had before, that of chicken.

Fred tried the grapefruit, and finished all of it. It wasn't a fruit he'd want again any time soon. He was just as dubious in regards to the cup of green tea, even though he found he enjoyed it to the extent of asking if he could have another. Astra found the tea to be refreshing, but that was about it.

Once she had finished, she picked up Velus' dish and put it on the table, otherwise it probably would have just stayed on the floor. Making sure Velus was following close behind, she left the room and knocked on Fred's door and asked how he was getting on. Once the door to her room had shut, the dishes and the spoon she used to eat the grapefruit with disappeared, as did the cup. The bed appeared to make itself, giving the appearance it had never been slept in.

1. Fred was taking the opportunity to have one last bath.
2. The inn had spells to help those travellers who might have had difficulties get dressed and undressed, so Fred had help with his armour,
