Feeding Time For Velus

This question stymied Astra. At the Allarian inn, he was given scraps. Here, though, she didn't think such a thing was possible. A meal like the one she had wouldn't be suitable, she was sure. Perhaps some chicken and vegetables? Velus barked his agreement, so she asked for that.

A few seconds later, a plate with chicken and vegetables appeared on the table. She picked it up and placed it on the floor. Velus whole-heartedly attacked it, making quite a mess in the process. Not that Velus was planning to leave any. After he'd licked the plate clean, he hunted around and snaffled up any bits that had flown off the plate.

Though the Aqualarian royal household had dogs, Astra herself had never seen them eat, and she definately had never had to pick up their dishes before. Feeling slightly queasy, she had no desire to pick up the plate. However, after a few minutes, she realised that the plate wasn't going to disappear. She steeled herself to pick it up and quickly as possible dropped it onto the table, as if it was red hot. Sure enough, it vanished not long after it hit the surface.

2. Another visitor arrives at the inn.
3. After a period of absence, they hear from Minestus.
