Only Yo survives the horrible massacre. Fortunately, she had memorized the map of free areas before the map itself, along with Pope Poochie, had been turned into kitten kibble right on top of the Holy Dog Bed of Turn Around Three times. Yo slithes through empty basements, through mazes of corpses, human and dog and kitten alike, up filthy tubes of plumbing that infect her wounds and finally, finally ends up in the Curch of the Magi. One of the few places with enogh soldiers and mages to hold off the hordes. For now. "We must go back." said Tem, the leader of the Human Council. "Yo knows the temple and her wounds are almost healed. We must find the tunnel to the other world and escape. Bar that, find the book she spoke of and summon those who could defeat the kittens." "NEVER!" screamed Tenel-Ka. She was a black-haired, wiry female who led the fighting men of the Church of the Magi. "This is foolishness! The only reason Yo made it here was because she was SMALL enough. We could never get that many men to safety, even if there is safety." Her words seemed to echo around the small, stone room that once belong to Father Michael, now a victim to the kittens. Suddenly, a knock on the door. "Open." said Tenel-Ka, softly. In came Sabrina. She was a half-mink/half- human from a far away land, who had washed up on shore ten years ago, with permanent amnesia. She came to enjoy the land, for one of the few things she unfortunately remember from her past life was how she was badly treated for being half mink. Her pure white tail swished across the floor, disturbing the light grey of her dress. She looked directly at Tenel, nervousness twitching her whiskers. Everyone knew she had a terribly cute crush on Tem, except for maybe Sabrina herself. "Our 'wandering champion' wishes to enter." she said. "And asks your leave." Their champion, called 'Harry' for short, had shown up soon after the attack of the demon kitties. Without him, nobody in the building would be alive. His ways were strange, his life a mystery, but for his skill with a sword, nobody cared of his odd manners.
