happened to you, but I can tell you what happened to me. After we
became separated, I was lucky and ran into a friendly magician. He not
only reversed the spell of stupidity that apparently I was suffering from
without realising it, but he also helped me to track you down and then to
go and bring you back. I don't know why you should think that I was dead,
though."
"Nor do I, come to think of it. So, here we are, back at what I assume is one of the many entrances to the dragon's caves. At least I'm dressed now, even if it's in rather strange garb by our standards. But I still don't have a weapon. So I'm not sure whether our going inside and making another attempt to slay the dragon would be a very good idea, even though you've got your sword."
