Cecilia and Belboz married the next day in a lavish, though hastily
prepared, ceremony, followed by a banquet. There was an undercurrent of
tension througout the proceedings, as many in the kingdom were
uncomfotable with the idea of a necromancer as Crown Prince.
Though still uncomfortable with the whole arrangement, Queen Cecilia decided to make the best she could out of the situation. Belboz kept her sheltered from the more important affairs of state that the kingdom was involved with, but she had observers keeping an eye on things and reporting to her. Indeed, she was pleasently surprised that the old wizrd had a deft touch for leadership. His economic reforms and trade agreements with neighboring kingdoms substantially increased Allaria's wealth. He redoubled efforts in the Captial of Camelyn to build acqueducts, magnificent temples and imposing defensive fortifcations. The Allarian military flourished under his command, winning several campaigns against the eastern kingdoms who threatened the safety of Allaria, but avoided broader disputes with the larger powers, as Rogell surely would not have done. Cecilia, meanwhile, lived the relativley carefree life a young Queen. Her days were filled with activites, from reading the great works of literature, to horseback riding, archery training, swimming, and even the study of the magical arts at Belboz's greatest new building, the Ministry of Magic. Cecilia's personal relationship with Belboz warmed as well. A few months after their wedding, she was happily found to be pregnant with their first child. Though, on the surface, things seemed to be going smoothly, something was lurking in the darkness to break the peaceful respite.
