Fred coughed and the strange man turned round. When he saw how Fred was
dressed he said to himself, but loud enough for Fred and Astra to
hear: "Some sort of medieval fantasy world by the look of this fellow's
attire. I bet they even have mythical beasts such as dragons here."
"Not any more," Astra said drily. "At least, not in the Southern Caves I would imagine. Thank you for completing our quest for us. The explosion was your doing, I take it?" The man turned further, seeing Astra for the first time. "Perhaps this world has its compensations after all," he said. "Do all the women go around unclothed here?" "Er no. Until very recently I was chained up naked by the dragon that I mentioned, and I haven't had a chance to get myself any clothes yet." "I see. Well, now that I'm here I suppose that I'd better make the best of it. You two can be my first worshippers. In fact you can be my High Priest and High Priestess." "I beg your pardon?" Fred said. "Well, now that I'm here I may as well set myself up as your world's god. After all, this device in my hands gives me the necessary power. For example..." He twiddled a knob on it.
