A moment later... Fertal Cuthbert has good news for us. VERY good news indeed for us!! "Excellent," I sigh softly, thanking God in His Heaven above for this boon! Now we won't have to go haring off AGAIN after returning so soon! See, while I and my wife had so VERY much enjoyed our adventures with him we do NOT wish to make yet another journey back to the Restaurant at the End of Time to retrieve yet another stash of exotics from that particular shade of blue (shady fellow, that chap). Oh, it is not that we do not wish to travel about (do not get too many adventures whilst staying about at home). Indeed, that last land we had visited--Xanth--had been delightful (in as far as the place . . . had issues with some of the inhabitants there). Artizza seemed to get a smile or two (when we had a few scant moments of time to enjoy it) at some of the puns that made up that place. May have something to do with her new elfin nature. Myself? Well, like so many of my analog brothers we had a secret passion for puns back in our childhood.... . . . The problem here lay within the Hitchhiker universe. See, there would be that chance (a GOOD chance, given the peculiar a Champion's lot in life can be at times) of meeting that two headed waste of flesh: Zaphod. None of our old group were left with good impressions of that buffoon after we finally managed to rid ourselves of him, last time around. Do not care to have his presence inflicted upon our new set of friends and fellow adventurers this time, thank YOU! That would be too much to inflict on almost anyone! According to Joan and Cuthbert the Oriental Dragons which we (or I should say my old adventuring group) had tapped to help us out found out that it had taken much less to cure Ravenmane than feared, so we should (fingers crossed) have just enough to cure "Fifi" and "Bambi". Still . . . "All this is fine and well," B'Elanna says, nodding. "However, just HOW are we to get the overstock? Are Sigin's Oriental friends going to fly down here with it or are we going to take the TARDIS up to Walants to pick it up?" Cuthbert and Joan were willing to come themselves, but to get the means of transporting the stuff itself in time would be a major headache and leave it at that... Something about red tape and all that. Something that I never liked even as human while back dealing with the "people" who dealt with setting up meetings between king and subjects and all that ilk.... So much easier (and quicker) this way, alas. The first would take more time than we have, though! Even though dragonflight IS rather more swift than anything I had been familiar with before coming into my rightful form and meeting . . . . Inquirer's people. . . . Oh good God! What an . . . fascinating encounter that had been. To actually meet human being able to travel amongst the very STARS! Which . . . makes a journey of such like across the world look like a piker boast than anything (were it would be an epic back from where I haled from). As it turns out, the overstock would be delivered to us by neither means. I fear I am not exactly sure what "transmating" (the Doctor's term) or "beaming" (B'Elanna's term) means but from what smiles I see it sure must be swift indeed! Directly to the "official" landing/beam in point outside in the courtyard here. Not sure, but I believe that that spot had been set aside as unshielded to avoid . . . transportees from going "splash" when hitting the wards and magical shields of this strange wizard tower.... As for those transporters... Seems that some Count Yorga--who if I remember correctly had been a vampire (!) before being cured of it-- and his intended, Alicia of the House of John -- who I believe Inquirer had actually saved by physically fighting to a standstill (!!) two vampires-- will be bundling the delivery along with official word from Regent Malachi about her words on what Inquirer has come across with Queen Helia.
