A Strange Task for Our Heroes

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 51817

Our heroes heard the dragon's voice in their heads. As you may have gathered, you are on the moon. I want you to retrieve something for me. Once you have it, I will bring you back. You'll stay there until you succeed; that should be sufficient incentive for you. Meanwhile you are cocooned from your surroundings by my magic, to prevent you from asphyxiating, freezing or dying from the heat once the sun rises. Even the naked Astra should feel no discomfort.

"Can you hear us?" Astra asked.

The dragon had evidently anticipated that question. I can't hear you, but I can track what you are doing and will know when you have found what I want. It's a giant emerald that has some special powers. How I come to know that it is on the moon need not concern you. The Earthlight should be bright enough for you to be able to find it...

  1. I know exactly where it is, just a very short distance from where you are now. I will guide you to where it should be.
  2. Unfortunately my locating of it could not be very precise, so it may be anywhere within a large circle centred on where you are now. So you'd better get started. You wouldn't want to die of hunger or thirst before you've finished.
