Abandoned Libraries: Often Quite Dangerous

Fred nodded. "After you, then."

Selene lead Fred to a slightly run-down structure deeper in the caves. Packed bookshelves lined the walls inside the ancient ruin, and a stone table in the center of the room had a selection of texts sitting on it.

"... who builds a library inside of a cave?" asked Fred.

"Beats me," Selene replied.

After clearing off the table and offering Fred a seat, Selene began scanning the nearby shelves for the dragon-related book. "Odd, it should be right here," she said, indicating the space between two other books on the shelf.

"Could it have been stolen?" Fred asked, knowing exactly how prevalent kleptomania was in populations of cave-dwelling monsters.

"It must have been. I only returned it to the shelf a few hours ago."

1. Fred embarked on an adventure to recover the book.
2. Fred noticed that there was a book about dragons on the floor.
3. Selene decided to kill Fred, steal his map, and become the protagonist of this story.
