Wish Number 2

Astrid was surprised at this - Astra's changes had truly begun to show, at least physically. She started to wonder if Astra's self had also begun to change from human to djinn - but there was no time to formulate the thought. Astra's solid form dissolved into a smoky vapor surrounding Astrid - then just as suddenly seemed to vanish!

Unlike the trip through the portal, being teleported by Astrid was neither jarring nor unsettling - it was as though Astrid stood quite still while the world around her was simply replaced. Still, though it was not uncomfortable, it was unsettling to be there one second and here the next.

The question, of course, was where "here" was. It took Astrid a second of orientation to find:

1. They were in a jungle, standing outside a grass hut.
2. They were at the entrance to a very cute little cottage in a brightly lit meadow.
3. They were in the midst of a camp of Amazons.
4. They were on a ship in the middle of the ocean somewhere.
5. They were in a sorcerer's cave - but not one they'd visited before.
6. They were in a sorcerer's cave - one that looked suspiciously like Belboz's!
7. They were in a cave - with the dragon!
