Running as quickly as he could manage in spite of his heavy plate armor, Fred crossed the
threshhold of the building just as he heard a gate clang behind him with a terrible finality.
"Irena! Stop!" he shouted. "This is an illusion created by the dragon, just as the mall was!"
The distant form of Irena raced ahead of him, seeming even more afraid as he called out to
her until his voice was hoarse. Fred once mroe felt the strange heat he'd felt in the volcano,
and wondered if he' dbe boiled alive in his armor. Knowing he had no chance of catching up
to her, he made a flying leap for her.
