The Never Ending Quest - Episode 46497

Carola wanted to believe her sister, but wasn't sure she could. The cruelty she'd seen in her sister was deeply uncharacteristic of her. Belinda had always been easily moved to anger and had become especially difficult during the time they were imprisoned together on the island [16333], but had never been so deliberately cruel before. Yet her cruelty had seemed too genuine to be an act, and Belinda had never been good at hiding her true feelings. Even now, Carola thought she saw a trace of mockery in her smile. And she remembered all too well the state that Fred had been in in their cell. It frightened Carola that someone she'd known all her life could change this much without her noticing.

"I can't trust you after what you did," said Carola angrily. "You poisoned Lord Fred." Belinda answered,

  1. "It was necessary to fool the Dragon, and the poison wouldn't permanently damage Fred, just paralyze him for a few days." Carola still wasn't convinced of her motives.
  2. "Damn it! I knew you wouldn't be easy to deal with." She then attacked Carola.
