"I'm not sure that trapping them would be the best way of showing that we are friendly," Amy said. "Besides, how are we going to get them to fall into the trap?" "We overheard them say that they were looking for the entrance to the caves. So we could dig it right in front of the entrance. The wood is so dark that they'd never see the pit in time, especially if we camouflage it a bit with branches over the top or something like that." "It will never work. Besides, we're lost, remember. Even if we can find the entrance again, we won't have time to dig a great big pit before they find the entrance themselves." "Do you have a better idea?" Nigel asked, sounding rather hurt.
