Nothing Of Value In The Library

"I don't like this. It's extremely odd how we find one incredibly useful spell that multiplies our food and nothing! Nothing else at all. It sort of makes a bizarre sense that the powerful spells won't be where any of the dragon's lackeys could read it. But then who put the food spell out for us? Something like that..."
Velus realized that Astra was simply thinking aloud. He stayed quiet.

"Something like that could be a real boon to the slaves the dragon has. The dragon wouldn't let that spell just sit around. I think there might be a resistance in the dragon's ranks. A powerful creature just doesn't have these kinds of security lapses."

"Come on!" said Fred. "Let's go! We need to find the dragon!"

The two canines look at each other. Just how they will communicate such an incredibly complex idea to Fred?

1. Velus mentions how one of the other kidnapped victims was a parrot. He could understand animals and speak to humans. The two canines leave Fred who doesn't understand their plan. He does understand they want him to stay in the library though.
2. The two have no idea how to comminicate such an idea to Fred and follow him. They whine softly.
3. A wall of water crashes through the library.
