Fred steps up to the elderly magician and socks him a good one in the chops. The guy spins and goes down, throwing his hands in the air. A wide yellow bolt of magic shoots upward and hits a large portion of the celing. It is transformed to an equivalent mass of water which slams down, flooding the arena waist deep.
Belboz is dragged away. Fred tries to follow the path the two men who had taken Velus took. All of a sudden something nips him on his thigh. Then on his foot. A whole school of trout is attacking him! Fred grabs a trout by the gills. The sharp scales nick his hands but he ignores the pain. Using the captive trout, he beats the other fish into submission. Fred makes for his original destination.
