The Never Ending Quest - Episode 44637

The snake was quite large - about two feet long by an inch in diameter - but its mottled brown coloration was such that it had blended in with the dry grass in which it had been lying, so that Fred and Astra hadn't been aware of it until it had hissed. Before they had a chance to react it had begun wrapping itself around Astra's leg.

"Stay very still," Fred told Astra. "Its bite might be poisonous, but perhaps if you don't frighten it then it won't attack."

"I'm trying to remain still, but it tickles."

  1. The snake bites Astra.
  2. Once its whole length is coiled around Astra's leg, the snake stops moving. It doesn't bite. Astra attempts to remove it.
  3. Once its whole length is coiled around Astra's leg, the snake stops moving. It doesn't bite. They decide that it isn't safe to try to remove it. Slowly, Astra takes a tentative step, as she can't remain motionless indefinitely.
