Early to Bed...

It was obvious they would require another hot meal sometime during the day and wondered how they would be provided for this time. There wasn't enough of the drift wood left for another fire, and they were sure the spirits weren't going to start another wildfire.

After finishing their meal they got up and resumed their journey. The local wildlife had since decided that it was safe enough to return so at least they had a little something else to look at on the way. As in the jungle the animals and birds didn't seem to be the slightest bit afraid of them, some coming fairly close to the pair as they gazed at the two strange creatures walking through their habitat.

At this point they noticed that the lake had started to curve to the north-west. They were concerned about losing their water supply but resolved to carry on towards the mountains as they were told.

1. After a few more miles they saw water to the north again. It wasn't the lake, but yet another river.
2. Two zebras separated themselves from a herd the pair were passing.and approached them.
3. Hearing a hissing sound they saw it was a snake. And it had started to wrap its way around Astra's leg.
