An Early Night

"You know, I'm surprised that the spirits couldn't deal with that curse themselves but needed our help, given how powerful they seem to be," Fred said to Astra as they made themselves as comfortable as they could. (The spirits had evidently decided that supplying them with mattresses would be going too far!)

"I don't know why they needed our help, but I'm grateful that they did, since thanks to them things now seem to be going much better for us. Perhaps there's some constraint on them, meaning that they aren't allowed to lift curses themselves."

"Do you think we'll reach that mountain range tomorrow?"

"I think it may take longer than a day. They look a very long way away. They must be pretty high, since their peaks are snowcapped. Anyway, good night, Fred."

"Good night, Astra. May you have pleasant dreams."
