A Swim and a Surprise

On the return leg on their swim, Fred noticed something strange. Though it
was still pouring down heavily He could easily see the orange-red flicker
that indicated their fire was still burning. Looking up at the sky he
could see why. Directly above their fire was the only patch of blue sky
for seemingly miles around. Plus, the wind had dropped
completely. When they reached the shore and climbed out of the water, they both noticed that the wildfire had been completely extinguished. Was there anything these spirits couldn't do? they wondered. Eventually the rain eased off and they were able to dry themselves, and their clothes.
