Astra Tries to Bring Fred Around

"Not listening!" Fred shot back. "You're not real, you must be part of this elaborate ruse to sidetrack me."

This infuriated Astra and she slapped him, hard. "I dare you to call that an illusion!"

This stopped Fred in his tracks. He placed a hand where she had slapped him, before turning around. Normally he would be angry at that but he was currently too confused. He had never encountered a physical illusion before now. Then it dawned on him. There's no such thing as physical illusions! I'm dreaming, he thought. I must be dreaming. So he pinched himself. And winced. Ow.

Astra's anger had since turned to bewilderment at Fred's behaviour. She had expected to be lambasted for her daring to hit an Allerian knight. Or at least a sign he was coming around to the truth.

1. Fred was out of it. It had all proved too much for his brain.
2. It took a while, but Fred eventually accepted the situation. Rather grudgingly of course.
3. Velus ran up to them and tried to get their, or at least Astra's, attention.
