After they had finished, they realised that it was getting late, so
decided to find a place to sleep a fair distance from the grave and
statues. The removal of the curse from the land seemed almost to be
tangible and the very jungle seemed lighter and less oppressive. Even the
sound of the insects appeared to be more soothing than
unnerving. Finding a suitable spot, they got some of the less abrasive undergrowth to use as makeshift pillows and both settled down for a restful nights sleep.
