On the fly...

Once she has finished telling me her story, I suggest the same thing to her as was done with Aialia. I am happy to report that like Aialia she's amicable to the idea. It is very good. I find that I have grown rather fond of this dryad who has a tale so similar to my own.

Soon enough, while in flight to our next campsite (zigzagging through the sky), our discussions turn to other things. If this dryad had been human, then perhaps the discussion might have included one subject of "girl talk". As it is . . .we don't go there.

Fashion? By nature nymphs, dryads, and other nature spirits (who are as far as anyone ever has found are female) dress in very complimentary fashions. They are, as the sages tell it, a triumph of nature and they KNOW it, and aren't above showing it off.

Makeup? Do you really think a triumph of nature needs makeup?

Boys? Well, while by her new nature she's been provided . . . er . . . the mannerisms that are feminine (Urnath helped with me in that department, in order to avoid Matrix insanity), there are certain things . . . Yes, a dryad (or any other nature spirit) can be interested in males, it's not the same for them as say, me. I got interested (and eventually married) Cuthbert because I'd been attracted to him as a human woman can be attracted to a human man. Nymphs and the like "collect" males sometimes for the same reason human beings collect fine art. They do it more for an appreciation of beauty (as it were) than anything else. Besides . . . those who are into such things . . . they're not above the attention that their "collection" lavishes upon them. . . .

Sex? Beside the fact that such a subject is ENTIRELY inappropriate in the mixed company we are in right now, to be blunt about it nature spirits don't reproduce that way! Yes, I know that you're probably saying that sex is fun and all that. Sex acts aren't always for reproduction (will agree with you on that). BUT . . . . that's not a subject I feel we should be discussing here and now, okay.

Besides, nature spirits (while some collect "boy toys") don't do that, even out of a sense of curiosity. When they interact with males THAT is never on their minds (at least for the Terra Prime species). They reproduce by . . Uh, nevermind. Suffice to say for whatever reasons, it's in a pursuit of a DIFFERENT satisfaction besides . . . . Well, you get the idea by now, I HOPE.

No, sister here wants to know more about this Terra Prime she might soon enough be calling home! That and these other "people" who do business with us.

"I mean where did they come into the picture?" Tithorea manages, not sure exactly how else to put it.
