Talking to Tithorea

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 43063

Joan 2:

"I can hazard a guess at the reason for our similarity in appearance," I tell Tithorea, "but to see if it's right I will need you to tell me your story. Are you willing to do that? In return, I'll tell you my own story, which has something in common with yours, in that I too was once under a compulsion to dance. In fact, perhaps it would be better if I told you my story first, as it will serve to introduce you to the concept of alternate realities, which you will need to know about to follow what is going on."

"All right," Tithorea says, so I first give her some necessary background concerning alternate realities, the Celestrials and the Champions, before telling my own story. [Which can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/ rule179/CharacterBios/ people.htm#People under the "Joan 2" link.]

I see her surprised look when I tell her that before my transformation into a woman I was a Lord Frederigo D'Honaire, and know that my idea about her is correct: she too was formerly a Fred. Well, I'd have been very surprised if she had not been. I'm not sure why, but Randall Flagg seems to have had a particular fondness for transforming Freds and Astras as opposed to anyone else.

"Goodness," Tithorea says when I have finished. "There's certainly a lot for me to take in there. The story of your transformation and dancing compulsion is so similar to my own that it's eerie. And, as I suspect that you've already guessed, I too was once a Frederigo D'Honaire. Now for my own story, then."

  1. Once she has finished telling me her story, I suggest the same thing to her as was done with Aialia.
