Tithorea
It is a LOT to take in, what my sister here has told me. She's shared a basic picture of what her new home is like, this Terra Prime. However, I want a bit more information, considering that I might be calling it home soon enough, myself! I especially want to know about these other "people" who do business with us: the "Military" and the "Federation." "I mean where did they come into the picture?" I finally say, not able to put it in more elegant, diplomatic terms. I just am not sure exactly how else to put it.
"First things first," she begins. "Let’s start off with Terra Prime since it was the first question asked." It’s rather involved, but in a sense what happened to Terra Prime was similar to what had happened to my Allaria, in as far as some of the players. Both had wars happen to them. However, this "Enemy/Alliance" War that had touched down on Terra Prime was unimaginably more bloody. So much so that things were never to be the same (or even closely) again. Makes my head spin, really. Really scary! Would have found it such, male or female, period. Just because of a change in… Nevermind. But some good (thank God) came from it. Just like in my world were my people had come to see that dragons were not mindless beasts (but people) and dragons found us more than merely something to eat (but not only worthy of caution, but respect) I’m glad to say the same thing happened here. Which is good, considering that if this Military had wanted to, they could have driven the dragons to extinction (something that . . . would have been sad). Sad if that had happened because I’d grown to respect dragons (I’d been tasked to slay a rogue dragon, lawless not only towards humans but dragons). "There is much more to it than that," Joan finishes. "However . . .you’ll have to experience it for yourself to get a true grasp." Hm, can see that. "Now, as for the Military and the Federation," Joan sighs. "Best way to think of them as vast star kingdoms who we’ve come to do business with, trading goods and services. The most notable being this strange substance that until that War came to Terra Prime was thought useless: tiberium. "They respect us and don’t try to lord over us, amazingly enough . . .though sometimes there are some Star Fleet Admirals who . . . never mind." She continues. " They’re not really kingdoms but . . ." Joan 2 Yep, her reactions about the same as mine back when I’d learn. I was (and still am) kind of fond of monarchies. Seems more . . . neat and tidy compared to that other strange form of government . . . "They’re democracies ?!" the dryad sputters. "You’re joking, right? Plato’s Republic was utterly shown that to be an utter folly!" Yes, she’s got a LOT to adjust to here, soon enough. Soon, we are landing for the night, hiding out in the underbrush of the forest below. We "dismiss" the dryad and bring forth the wood elf ranger, who’s busy with her woodlore to set up camp. Tomorrow, I guess we’ll bring out Praxithea (formerly known as Hannah).
