In and out? Is THAT what this business is all about?!

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 43095

The Doctor

Dragoness Andrea - Dragon Synizn 2, Nimi'aia , and Triakoth - Elvaraniel, I remind myself. Still some, but then again best to concentrate on the task at hand!

Indeed, I should do that, but after witnessing in the flesh what I had been laboring to help avoid seeing what I'd seen earlier on Betty's Farscape DVD I am . . . finding myself wishing I was elsewhere. Doing something else, really to be truthful.

Then again, I had insisted on performing this task. This rescue because while it was nice to have Companions how can do more than get themselves into trouble (and scream), I find that sometimes a personal touch is nice. Besides, I am . . . was the best for this task. See, I am armed with Inquirer's cloak of invisibility (she insisted) and my sonic screwdriver (as well as a quiet extensive knowledge of the mechanical arts that . . . . well, at this moment still outstrips B'Elanna's). Yes, Inquirer might have been better if things got rough, but if it comes to this then the plan pretty much . . . .

Well, the plan pretty much has gone awry, anyway . . .

. . . .

In all the countless parallel realities out there would produce the scene we had witnessed. Some of them, I am sure, would go a LONG way in redemption towards . . . what I've just witnessed both on the small screen and just here and now! More and that here in a moment . . .

. . .

Now, one of the things we all (myself, my Companions, and "our" John Cricthon of Season 4) was to get as many variant Farscapian characters out of harm's way. Yes, you've got it. We're trying to rescue them. At the very least (something I strive to do more than, settling for the minimum) dropping them off somewhere safe. Would prefer to do it in a relatively aboveboard, friendly fashion -- not the rushed affairs we'd been forced to perform (somewhat brutal in some places I fear). . . . which led to more than a little bit of a strained relationship between Crichton and us.

Some of it had bothered me a few times, myself . . .

But we'd not been able to do even THAT much for the woman that now lay at the PK Crichton's feet. Yes, I'm too late for her. Due to the rather tight security aboard this ship (which even Inquirer admits is while harsh in style is MUCH more stylish than the blocky, hastily built affairs still in service from the early part of the Enemy/Alliance War), we had to park the TARDIS well away from here. As it turns out, not even Inquirer could have (except perhaps by dropping stealth) reached this spot in time to save the lives lost here and now. Even this biloid who'd been named Sikozu (can tell she is from the blinking components now visible to the world through the wounds) we would have saved.

Have to wonder whether or not she'd actually been a spy for these Scarrans...

. . . .

Well, nothing for it.

Now, back to the thing that finally cuts it for me in regard whether or not PK Crichton is not a "baddie" or not. Whether or not this version of Crichton is a quisling . . .

Can tell a few things about people. Am rather observant, you might say. PK Crichton seems to throw off any questions on just how he ended up here in this room full of dead bodies, recovering control of his body now that the "possessing entity" has left him (back down the wormhole). Instead of trying to see about saving anyone who might be left, he seems more interested in his own agendas.

Throwing aside any questions on how he'd come to be here (with his preferred prisoner now dead), he's going to try to pry questions out of the OTHERS who survived being captured by his forces. Shouts orders to that effect, our PK Crichton has done.

This reality's Moya is dead, a hulk. Pilot, being attached, surely followed. We'd seen it when we'd come into this reality through the wormhole. Now, let us see who survived. Who we can rescue . . .

  1. And let us see who's the Key Component Carrier (or Carriers). Might be more than one Carrier, you know. .
