The Doctor “What the frell?!” three female Nebari voices shout, blending in perfect harmony in their perfectly surprised states. Hm, it appears that one of the Agents out there got the bright idea of teleporting the Chiana we'd promised to bring here to Babylon 5 (and her sisters who'd wanted to come along as a support system) and did us the favor of delivering them here (along with us). Wish they'd at least warned them before doing it, though. Sure do look startled. Myself, I and the other Champions had expected the sudden transition (if not them), if not the rather unexpected (and I fear a bit rude) interruption of a private conversation between Garabaldi (the station commander) and Captain Crais (the chap we need to get help from, as it stands). "Hey, said we'd pick you up like promised!" Chiana chirps, smiling over at her sisters. "Welcome to Babylon 5!" Quietly, she goes over and calms their ruffled fathers while the stations commander takes this moment to speak. Crais, meanwhile, looks like he's rather glad to see us. Looks like he has something to ask us, but (for a change) decided to be magnanimous because of his request being granted so quickly (if only in an odd, quirky fashion that I believe some Agent out there has in their perverse sense of humor). At least he's not making demands, now.... Soon enough, but not right now. "Without calling ahead," Garabaldi hrmphs. "I had promised to contact you the moment I got word from the specialists we had shipped in to take care of Avon's case!" "Well, I fear that the Celestrial business causes us to jump a few steps in as far as good manners, I fear." I sigh. "Belated request to come aboard, Mr. Garabaldi?" "Belated permission granted," he snaps, sighing. He then pauses as something on his desks beeps and he leans over to read something on a console. "Hm, you'll be happy to note that the specialist were just reporting in and saying that they'd been able to cure the physical addictions Avon was suffering from." he says, looking up. "They're reporting that he's still VERY much addicted, psychologically. Short of mind wiping his memory from time he'd become addicted to now, they're . . . doubtful he's going to stay 'clean'." Shows that he's got a brain in there. Shadow is a frightful thing, you know my dear! As for just HOW long we'd been gone (that question came up), it turns out it'd had been a bit of time, indeed for the second. Well over a MONTH! Seems that Avon's Shadow addiction had been a VERY tough nut to crack indeed! Garabaldi adds that he's glad Shadow didn't exist in HIS universe. It was bad enough, some of the stuff out there. Shadow . . . . Well, it frightened the seasoned man. "Oh perhaps a little Lethe water will fix that," Inquirer mutters to herself. "Might be even able to apply it here in a few moments after we take one of our unexpected guests down to the Infirmary to get her eyes fixed. But before we do that...." Of course, she asks just where the magic was coming from, she and the other people here who's metabolism required it (else die in quiet a lot of pain if they'd not been Champions). As for the question about magic, it started showing up just a week ago. Sensors and deep space scans detected some kind of rift in space similar to what the Spacer's had accidentally created. It appears to be stable (no danger of swallow up the nearby solar systems), but the exact causes were still unknown. Ships sent to study the phenomenon were still in route, you see. But bottom line, it was the source of magic in this universe. Data wasn't happy. He'd been caught and transformed into a Golem by the event whilst visiting Babylon 5. Cannot return to his home reality (the Star Trek:TNG universe), being he's not a magical entity (and not an android).... But that's not something we're going to involve ourselves in because our plates are full enough as it stands, thank you! .... As for the first, curing the Chiana who'd been having eye problems had been comparatively simple next to the Avon's addiction. So, when it came to light we had another Chiana here (one of the Nebari women who'd been unexpectedly teleported here) needed the same treatment, it was nary a thing. However... "Do believe that we can now call us even," Garabaldi finishes up, sitting down behind his desk (and making a concerted effort at ignoring Crais). "But as a favor for me....while you're at it take Mr. Crais with you, please?" "Gladly, we actually have some business with him as it stands," the demifox lass, Sovay chips in. "Or rather with his ship and friend, Talyn."
