Regarding Captain Crais

"I beg your pardon?" Crais blinks, looking down at the odd being before him as we exit Garabaldi's office.

"I and the others here are on a Validation Quest," my husband, Synizn 2 begins. "It's rather similar to the one you and your friends got swept up in earlier here."

"The one where those short, sharp eared people had been changed into crystalline cube?" the former Peace Keeper Captain says slowly. "Surely you're not going to try to do that with me, are you?"

"No, actually with your ship!" Aeryn-Pip says from the side, helpfully.

Or rather NOT so helpfully, because now . . . after a few seconds looking at her and seeing she's not joking, he's looking like he's ready to balk.

Time for a diplomat to step in here and settle things before things get out of hand! I do fit that bill, being that even before I had retired my post as the ambassador for Nantucket. Before that, I had been a Queen! Even if my first husband (a bastard and a half) beat me from time to time to "keep me in line".

I'm glad he's dead.

"Captain Crais," I begin. "I can guarantee you that it will pose no harm to Talyn. Indeed, that is the LAST thing my friends would dream of doing. . . . "

"After all, we did help deliver 'my' reality's version of Talyn (re: 23068)," Chiana (the dragoness one) purrs. "That and we made damn sure he stayed free and with his mother!"

The last is more or less a verbal slap in Crais' face. Inquirer and the others had made sure that Chiana the dragoness' version of Talyn had stayed free by removing that reality's version of Crais from the equation. It had been mostly to make sure the Company failed to gain control of that Crais' Command Carrier, but also to reduce chances of somehow events trying to twist back and Crais gaining ownership of the little (relatively speaking) gunship. No, they hadn't killed him, but instead let PK High Command AND everyone on his ship know that that Crais (like this one . . . chance being as what I've learned from the cosmic laws I learned while studying magic under my love). That Crais had to flee for his life.

Thankfully, though it's very plain to see that young dragoness (as well as the other Chianas present) do not like this Crais (for various reasons) they fail to mention what I'd just revealed to you, reader. Do not feel that such a revelation of truth would do well at all for swaying Crais to our cause.

Don't even ask how he'd react if we were to tell him that that one Gammak Base where "our" Chiana had so much fun with somehow popped into orbit around the planet Zeus (the Terra Prime version of Jupiter, for you Earthers out there). Do believe he'd not be thrilled with how many Military techs are swarming all over that place now, studying PK technology.

Forgive the tangent, but still I feel you'd probably want to know. Oy, and what a stir that was causing, from the friends I have tell me. But not as NEARLY as much of a stir as those Earths (Core Earth and the Earth of our Chiana's Crichton) got dropped off --zap!!-- into the orbital plane of Terra Prime. Now Terra Prime has two sister planets (two Earths full of understandably hysterical humans, the wormhole trip had been a real trip)! We now have three sisters sharing the same orbit, each one third the way around the orbit in relation of the other, forming a equidistant triangle.

The diplomacy core of both the Military and Star Fleet are tearing their hair out over the diplomacy needed for this, let me tell you.... Goodness! The pains they have to go into the repatriation of those PK survivors....

Well, won't go and bore with those dreadful details. Only interests me because of the station I'd been born into (politics/diplomacy being a part of the royal calling and all that)....

Well, shan't bore with the details but I manage to win him over. See, he'd heard things about these "demons". Oh, believe he thinks of them as some kind of super powerful aliens or some such, but that aside it means that without our help he and Talyn will have yet ANOTHER set of hunters after them.

What exactly do we want with them?

Well, that's a rather involved answer (or sets of answers) for that rather simple question. You already know why we will need Talyn. We're going to turn him into a little cube for the Rules and Agents so they can remove some Key Component that got placed inside sometime between the time Crais and friends got swept up and the time we'll return.

Crais? Why do we need him? But for right now we'll need Crais here in the near future we'll need him to calm Talyn down when we arrive!

But first thing first. We have a flock of Chianas who need herding down into the Infirmary, you know. While the Chiana who needs to get her eyesight fixes from whatever that Energy Rider creature did, some of us have to make plans before we dive into this Quest!

While I like the idea of adventuring (this will be my first real one!) I'd rather like to not have to "ad lib" it if I am able. Besides, Inquirer and the Doctor have been muttering about loose ends here!

Seems like a perfect time to drop off the natives back off on Moya. Those who've decided to go back, you know (some might want to live in another universe where they're not being hunted).

Save us a trip, you know.

And what of the Chianas? What do they talk about while an elfin lass named B'Elanna (who knows the way to the Infirmary) takes them to their destination?

Why, their various versions of John Crichton, of course!

Comes to a screeching halt when Aeryn-Pip cuts in.
