accent. "I 'ave been sent to stop you! With my pointy sword!" Fish shakes his head. "Go on, Sue, step on him." "But he's a cute little kitty! I'm not going to step on him, you step on him!" Sir Toby steps forward. "Halt, friend!" he cries. "What is your business with my allies?" "I have been hired by Sir Reginald of Califine, to destroy Sue and Fish." Without glancing backwards, Toby says "Sue? Do you know Sir Reginald?" "Oh, him." Sue shrugs his mighty shoulders. "I stopped him from kissing a scullery maid who didn't want to be kissed. He's been pissed about it ever since." "Odd." says the cat. His voices lowers but his sword does not. "Sir Reginald told me that you broke into his house, injured his wife and three sons and stole the family heirlooms." "What nonsense!" says Fish. "Reggie's daughters all moved away in their teens because they hated their father." The cat lowers his sword. "I shall reject Reginald's offer and instead join you and yours as way of apologies. Are you on a quest?" "Yes." said Sir Toby. "To slay an evil dragon. If you prove noble, we will be honored to have you. What is your name?" "Puss in Boots." "Puss?" says Fish. "Hey, how come he gets a well-known name and we get Fish and Sue?" "I am public domain." says Puss. "Toby The Maintaner need not fear the legions of zombie-lawyers, for anyone can talk about me." Sir Toby shook his head. "I'm sorry, what was that, Puss? There was a bee by my ears, I didn't hear a thing." "Nothing." said the cat. "Let us go."
