An uncomfortable silence followed. Scott went back to watching his
cartoons. Josh focused his gaze on his toes, as if they were the most interesting thing he'd ever seen. He finally broke the silence with an uneasy "Yep." Lots nodded in agreement. "Yep."Again, more annoying laughter came from the teal couch where Scott was sprawled. And then more silence. That defening, oppresive silence. Right about then Lord Fred entered the room by means of heretofore unnoticed door, followed by violet gorilla with a George Foreman Grill head and a tray of vanilla pudding snacks. Fred indicated they should all help themselves to some. And they did.Lots glanced back down at his bottle of medication. Use caution when driving or sitting in the staircase room. He really should read these warning labels before he took his medicine. Oh well. But that's when it happened. What happened? It.And it happened suddenly. Sara Hewitt, in her innocence, found a stripped cashew in one of her pockets and decided to put it in her pudding. And actually that's when it happened...
